Minor demat and Trading accounts can be opened with single KYC at MSFL:

Minor can only SELL Shares which are allotted to him in IPOs. NO BUYING is ALLOWED.
Minor will be given Cash segment and Mutual Fund segment RIGHTS ONLY. (Minor can register Systematic Investment Plan(SIP) in Mutual Fund(MF) and for this limited purpose, buying is allowed)
Minor account is opened in name of Guardian, but PAN of Minor is used. Cheque is issued to Minor.
